Crest Breeders and Ushewokunze Housing Co-op in court over land

Ushewokunze housing Cooperative representative appeared in court yesterday applying for a protection order against fifteen respondents. Of the fifteen respondents included employees and security guards from Crest Breeders International. They appeared before magistrate Mrs. Yeukai Nzuda.
The applicant David Muchabaiwa was applying for a peace order against all the fifteen respondents and he had a letter dated 5 November 2016 that stated that he was the chairperson of the Ushewokunze co-op and minutes of the meeting appointing Muchabaiwa to represent the co-op. the applicant through his representative was seeking the court to bar the respondents from interfering with Ushewokunze`s operations and offices.
The applicant further told the court that “the behavior of the respondents ought to show that it might result in a breach of peace as the 7th respondent is currently in custody over an issue of violence and the 1st respondent was also in custody therefore the respondents have a history of violence.”
In their submission the respondents through their representative told the court that “they disputed the authority that Muchabaiwa had over Ushewokunze and they further noted that Fungai Nyarota and David Muchabaiwa were trying to throw away the rightful owners.”
“The chairperson of the co-op is not Muchabaiwa but Ezekiel Karimanzira and the property belongs to the Crest Breeders International as granted by the High Court and Trust Chigunha is the recognized occupant of the property.” Said the respondents
“Fungai Nyarota has a matter which is also before the courts and the 7th respondent was already in .court by the time the application was made. Muchabaiwa and Nyarota are only trying to cause commotion and prevent Crest Breeders International to get paid.” Stated the respondents
The applicant told the court that he was not aware of the person named Karimanzira as a vote of no confidence was passed against
