Abusive Mutare man fined $100

Stanley Mukonza (43) was on Saturday sentenced by Mutare magistrate Lazarus Murendo who, however, gave him an option to pay $100 fine.

Prosecutor Brighton Shamuyarira told the court that the latest bashing incident occurred on April 20, leading to Mukonza’s arrest.

The court heard that on the day, Mukonza arrived home drunk and without provocation, started punching his wife, Fortunate Mutambanengwe, until she lost some teeth.
