The Hwange-Kamativi highway has become highly dangerous due to a massive growth of trees that are on the edge of the road which are now posing a challenge to the motorists and villagers.
The situation has become risky for motorists driving to and from Kamativi and Binga since an unexpected appearance of livestock could result in fatal accidents.
Motorists who spoke to ZBC News said it is only a matter of time before fatal accidents are reported.
Meanwhile, villagers are ready to participate in road clearance programmes as they are aware that their children and livestock are also at high risk.
Some parts of the highway have also grown tall grass which reduces the visibility of drivers, especially where there are curves.
