Calls to remain peaceful, calm

The Zanu PF Secretary for Youth Affairs, Cde Pupurai Togarepi has called on peace loving Zimbabwean youths and the generality of the citizenry to remain peaceful and calm in the wake of the barbaric and satanic attacks at a Zanu PF rally at white city stadium in Bulawayo over the weekend.

In a statement to ZBC News, Cde Togarepi said the attack is meant to disturb the existing peaceful environment in Zimbabwe and called upon youths across the political divide to remain guided by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s continuous call for peace before, during and after the 2018 elections.

Relating to the impending harmonised elections scheduled for July 30, Cde Togarepi urged Zimbabweans to be allowed to choose leaders of their choice without intimidation or harm and also urged all young people to shun and shame all those who still believe in the politics of hate and violence.

He expressed hope that the country’s security forces investigating the matter will get to the bottom of it and culprits will face the full wrath of the law.
