DDF seeks US$4.5m to repair Mash Central roads

The  District Development Fund (DDF) says  it needs at least US$4.5  million to rehabilitate roads damaged by incessant rains   in Mashonaland Central province.

A tour of Guruve, Mbire, Muzarabani and Mt Darwin district by the ZBC News crew in the company  of the DDF personnel has revealed a trail of destruction on road infrastructure caused by the heavy rains.

Muzarabani North National Assembly member Cde Alfred Mufunga and Mt Darwin North legislator Cde Novet Muponora   appealed for urgent government intervention to ensure that the roads are in a functional state in time for the agriculture marketing season.

Mashonaland Central province has a road network of 2400 km and of this 1513 km is in urgent need of attention.
