The government has encouraged people to support the thrust of the new curriculum which promotes the learning of technical subjects and encourage students to chase their talents.
This came out during a graduation ceremony of teachers trained in clothing design held in Harare yesterday (Saturday).
There was consensus that every learner should be schemed according to his talent.
The Principal Director in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Mr Peter Muzawazi and the Permanent Secretary in the same ministry, Dr Sylvia Utete Masango noted that technical studies are not for the academically challenged but every learner should be placed according to their talents.
20 teachers from the southern region of the country received their certificates after completing a two week training in clothing textiles and design.
The teachers came up with a suit each during the training and are expected to take the skills to the learners.
