Former State Procurement Board chairperson, Charles Kuwaza, has died in a suspected case of suicide after falling from the ninth floor of the Club Chambers offices in Harare’s central business district.

When zifmnews.com arrived at the scene, scores of people were milling around with police officers at the scene trying to ascertain circumstances leading to his death.
Details surrounding the suspected suicide were still sketchy, but those who were close by when the incident happened said they only heard a sound only to see Kuwaza’s body lying on the ground.
The window to his office was the only one open.
His body was ferried from the scene in a metal coffin by the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
The former permanent secretary in the ministry of Finance was facing five counts of corruption involving over $1 million and 2.5 billion Zimbabwe dollars.
Immediately after his arrest, Kuwaza was taken ill and put on life support at a local clinic.
No comment could be immediately obtained from the police.
