Massive housing development set for Mt Hampden

A local financial institution has partnered with land developers in developing housing units on a 110 hectare piece of land in Mt Hampden.

622 housing stands have already been commissioned and a model house constructed in the area.

Fairview Properties Chairman, Mr Albert Kamhunga said his organisation has embarked on phase two of the project after realising there is huge demand for housing while Datvest Managing Director, Mr Jack Smith said the model can be replicated in other areas.

The Minister of State for Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs, Cde Faber Chidarikire said the government is aware of the challenges that property developers are facing and warned land barons against fleecing home seekers.
