Journalists from Mozambique have hailed Zimbabwe’s unique tourist attractions, noting that the intensive marketing campaigns the country has embarked on must translate into increased arrivals from all over the world.
The media practitioners are in the country as part of efforts by the Manicaland branch of the Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) to enhance relations between journalists from the two countries.
Head of Manica Province in the Mozambican Ministry of Youth and Sport, Ms Mavis Cemential said they will spread the message that Zimbabwe is a safe tourist destination.
The initiative will help sell the Eastern Highlands’ unique offerings to the Mozambican market, noted the Principal Director in the Office of the Manicaland Minister of State for Provincial Affairs Minister, Mr Luck Basopo.
ZUJ Manicaland Chairman, Ray Bande said the journalists visited Nyanga National Park and are expected to also participate in a friendly football match with their Zimbabwean counterparts.
Zimbabwean scribes also visited Mozambique two months ago.
