Zim, E. Guinea to reinvigorate cooperation

Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea have agreed to reinvigorate cooperation between the two countries under the Joint Permanent Commission.

The two nations agreed to prioritise the education, finance, mining, commerce and agriculture sectors.

In a communiqué issued in Harare this Monday following the official visit to Zimbabwe by Equatorial Guinea leader Mr Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the two leaders agreed to hold regular meetings and consultations to ensure speedy implementation of decisions, and the working session was held in an environment of mutual understanding.

President Mbasogo expressed gratitude to his brother and colleague President Emmerson Mnangagwa for the warm and fraternal welcome and hospitality that were accorded to him and his delegation during the two-day stay in Zimbabwe.

The Equatorial Guinea President‘s visit was to reaffirm the political will to maintain the cordial bilateral relations with a view to diversify cooperation in the various fields of interest for mutual benefit of Zimbabwe and the equatorial country.

During the visit, the two heads of state reviewed the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries.
