Zimbabwe is re-engaging South Korea on specialisation programmes under the bilateral scholarship arrangement to improve issues to do with health, manufacturing and agriculture sectors.
The government is moving towards revitalising the country’s economy through industrialisation under the new dispensation and there is need to create enough human capital qualified to improve and turn around the country’s economy.
The Minister of State for Government Scholarships in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Cde Christopher Mushohwe met with South Korean Ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Cho Jaichel yesterday, to discuss possibilities of sending professionals to Korea in areas of health, agriculture and technology.
Ambassador Jaichel said education remains critical in the revival of Zimbabwe’s economy and his country is open to increasing bilateral relations and cooperation.
Zimbabwe and South Korea share good relations in areas of political, economic, cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
