#Zimbabwe pastor embarrassed after failing to resurrect dead woman

TWO pastors were left with egg on their faces after they failed to resurrect a Bulawayo woman.

The pastors held fruitless prayer sessions at home and at the cemetery to resurrect Anna Nyandoro. Pastor Michael Majachani and his colleague only identified as Pastor Bero of House of Glory first conducted a resurrection sermon and prayers at her home in Emganwini suburb but to no avail.

The pastors reportedly told mourners not to be quick to accept the death of Nyandoro but to have faith that she could resurrect after they prayed for her. “They emphasised that before rushing to mourn your friends and relatives one has to first negotiate with God to have mercy and give the deceased a second chance to live,” a source told B Metro.

After the home sermon was held, people are said to have been left tonguetied when the two pastors took the same resurrection gospel to the grave. Majachani and Bero are said to have taken turns in commanding Nyandoro to “wake up” but their efforts were in vain.

The service is said to have ended when the pastors told people that God had heard their request but they should accept his decision of taking Nyandoro. Majachani he said there was nothing wrong with him and Bero believing that Nyandoro would resurrect. “We had faith that Nyandoro would resurrect if God permitted that is why we held those prayers. People should not give up on the dead,” he said.
