Zimbabwe Police Use Teargas to Disperse Tobacco Farmers

(Bloomberg) — Zimbabwean riot police threw teargas canisters at tobacco farmers demanding payment for their crop delivered at one of the three auction floors in the capital Harare, Tobacco Sales Floor General manager Mary Machingaidze says by phone.
- “Sales will now continue tomorrow, but we are waiting for feedback from relevant authorities such as the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe on how to proceed”
